Is your life whirling around you? Do you make any time at all to enjoy the natural world? Because we came from the natural world and are still part of it. And our survival as a species may depend upon feeling that connection.

So here’s a test:

Here’s another short video of birds in our backyard. Notice how you feel when you watch it. Do you automatically slow down and enjoy watching the birds? Or do you find yourself annoyed, wanting more “to happen” and wondering, “Why does this prayer blog has a video of stupid birds anyway?”

Your reaction will show you whether you are connected or disconnected to the simple lessons nature has to offer about breathing and being still to just observe.

If you find your mind filling with critical thoughts about the video, then this means that your mind has to be critical of you.

When you think thoughts critical of yourself, whether consciously or subconsciously, you will be cut off from God – your Source Energy – which loves you unconditionally.

How To Reconnect With God

To reconnect with God, your Source, quiet your mind and replace all critical thoughts with better thoughts.

To reconnect with your Source, which is pure love, cultivate feelings of love and gratitude.

In this way you will draw closer and closer to the Source Of All Good that is God and create a paradise for yourself here on earth.

This is the good news that has been held from you: you need not die to experience heaven. You can experience heaven right here on earth. Expect to see evidence of this, believe you will see evidence of this, and you will.

[Note: We have a cardinal that visits with his mate. I will try to get them on film next, but I have to tell you that I love this little video because it allows me to see the grackle's iridescent blue neck more clearly. He really is a striking-looking bird on his own.]

Alex definitely deserves gratitude and a donation from everyone who downloads and uses his widget. He asks for a donation of a couple of bucks or so from anyone who downloads and uses his creation, which is a tiny price to pay for this lovely little bit of cool technology.

So send good energy back. Remember: As you sow, so shall you reap.

As Mother Teresa said: Nothing is between you and them. Everything is between you and God.

So when you are fair with the developer of some piece of software that you are using by making a donation, you are being fair with God, who is our life force.

God Always Says “Yes”

Have you noticed how God always says “Yes” to every prayer you send out?

As soon as you think: “Hmmm… a thing-a-ma-jig that does so-and-so for me would be a real help,” God springs into action to create it in the world. As you imagine how cool it will be to use it, you may be surprised how rapidly it will be created and available for you.

We have, after all, a planet of nearly seven billion creative people all of whom are wanting to expand by using their talents.

For instance, bloggers wanted a Twitter widget and, by gosh, Alex King was inspired to create a good one.

When you know this is how things work, you really start to appreciate how very good and amazing God – and life – is, and how absolutely anything is possible.

The Secret To Life

The secret to life is really about raising your vibration up into belief where you just know that good things are coming and “will follow me all the days of my life.”

My personal vibration is still going up. It dips down, from time to time, but my main job – like everyone’s main job – is to raise myself up to a point where I am at a high vibration – feeling love and gratitude – so that life is pretty beautiful pretty much of the time.

Do whatever it takes to feel happy and you wind up lifting everyone else around you up as well.

Spiritual development – learning how to live in a place of love and gratitude – has always seemed like the most worthwhile endeavor in which to invest my time and energies because it not only gives to me, but to everyone else I encounter on my path.

The Internet has shown us just how generous and supremely helpful people can be. Everyone loves to share knowledge from his or her area of expertise. If you want to know anything, put in the keywords and you can find it.

For instance, Alex King has created a widget so a post to your WordPress blog automatically generates a “Tweet” to Twitter.

Now, I don’t know if Alex’s widget is going to work with WordPress 2.6, but if it does, I’m going to give Alex a donation, because people cannot live on air. They love to give, but in order to live and give, they need a bit of cash.

So I’ll test it now. And, providing it works, I’ll give him a donation. Because to take something of value that will help my blog get read and to not give Alex at least a couple of dollars is really a kind of theft. And that kind of theft has huge repercussions in our lives because it is telling the Universe what you think you deserve.

In God’s eyes, Alex and I are cells in one being. To give to him is to give to myself.

So spiritual giving is a spiritual lesson worth learning. If you want God to bless you with abundance, then be as generous as you can to those who serve you.

Intuition – true intuition – is the God-inspired self speaking.

Miracles, flow, “spot on” intuition,  and “glow” are all cut from the same cloth. So I love when things just “flow” (as they have been over the last couple of days) and what I’m looking for just comes to me. It’s confirmation I haven’t set up any road blocks to Spirit’s messages, to the communication between God and myself.

Most people are so busy in their lives, they need a shortcut to gain this state of being. I know I do. I used to meditate and pray about three hours every morning, and it was bliss. Someone told me I glowed!

I felt so full of God’s love, I believe I was glowing. But there’s a lot I really want to put out into the world. So I’ve made choices to do more, to have a busier life, to intensely involve myself in creative projects. So I’m not spending that kind of time basking in the same “glow.”  Still, I feel guided every step of the way. And I know, when the spirit calls, I will resume meditating for longer periods of time.

Sunday was gorgeous. We have turned our backyard into a haven for birds between our birdfeeders and the tall stand of sunflowers. My husband and I sat outside late in the day. A warm breeze felt like silk passing over my arm. And five – FIVE! – goldfinches fluttered among the sunflowers, pulling out the ripened seeds.

The answer to how to attract goldfinches appears to be to grow sunflowers because they really love to eat sunflower seeds that are still in the flower.

I sat, first reading – finishing Persia Cafe by Melany Neilson – and I thought: how lucky I am to have the luxury of choice, to have the ability to read and get lost in good literature, and to marvel in the God of small things.

Small things, goldfinches. I sat back and just watched them (and the other birds), but in the end I had to get the video recorder, if only to get to see them a little closer, through the lens.

Thank you, God, for the miracles of goldfinches and sunflowers and time enough to appreciate both.

May I focus more on more on what is beautiful and pleasing in my life as I see this is the true way to joy.

It is no secret that music can raise your feelings out of depression and into joy.

It is no secret to you – and especially if you have ever sung sacred music in a choir – that being exposed to sacred and uplifting music really raises your vibration.

So does beauty.

So I have done my best to make your experience on Prayerforce.Org an experience that will lift up your feelings as much as possible through a combination of a beautiful layout, uplifting music and empowering affirmative prayers.

This creates focus that creates miracles as our thoughts grow more and more serene and loving.
