The Kingdom Within
Luke 17:21 states, “The kingdom of God is within you.” What does this really mean? And what are the 7 things you can do to access God’s kingdom and create good?
Let’s begin at the beginning: There is nothing that is not part of God.
All evil and lack is illusion. It is not what God has waiting “outside your door.”
And God brings things and ideas to us to help us dispel illusions of lack, evil, and disconnection from God’s love.
That is His grace.
Yet we do not have to look at those things. That is the essence of free choice.
The essence of free choice is getting clear on what your preferences are.
What things and experiences do you want in your life?
Often, you cannot know what you want until you have had an experience of what you do not want.
Then it’s crystal clear you want something else.
Yet, should what you do not want begin showing up in your life so much that you cannot seem to focus on anything else…
And you get angry that these things are happening…
Or you get angry that better things are not showing up in your life…
And you focus more on those negative experiences rather than on visualizing what you do want, giving thanks to God that what you want is on its way, or giving thanks for what IS going right in your life right now…
…that’s when you run into trouble.
That’s when you see no improvement, or even more of what you do not want showing up in your life.
Now, if God loves us, why does this happen?
It is because His kingdom is within us.
It is because God creates through us, according to what we hold in mind.
He gave us free choice:
“I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may life.” Deuteronomy 30:19
So strive to be very clear and entirely focused on what you do want, give no thought to what you do not want, bless those things you do not want when they show up or, otherwise, ignore them.
DON’T THINK OF AN ELEPHANT
I cannot over emphasize how important it is to “ask” God for what you want by visualizing it and to clear your mind of things you do not want.
Now, a person might feel justified in saying, “Well, God is omnipotent; so I do not need to visualize what I want. I do not need to say what I want since He already knows what is in my mind,” and it is true that God does know what is in your mind.
But you still need to say what you want and believe you deserve it to some degree, even if your belief is only “the size of a mustard seed,” because there is a gap between your wanting an experience or object and the manifestation.
This is for your protection.
Because you think a lot of things, all the time.
When I say, “Think of an elephant,” you see one in your mind. Yet, do you want it instantly manifested and rampaging through your home?
No. So, mercifully, there is a gap between thinking of something and having it show up.
